One of the major themes of geography is human-environmental interaction. In our study of Africa it is important that we be able to identify at least three challenges faced in Africa - there are more - regarding human interaction with the environment.

Assignment
With the members of your performance group for Africa produce a wikipage that examines:

• Desertification of the Sahel,
• Oil pollution in the Nigerian Delta, and
• The Aswan Dam

Your wikipage must do the following:

• Provide a general description of the problem globally. That is, all of the issues mentioned above is true of many regions on the planet, and not just Africa, so give a general idea of the issue.
• Provide a specific description of the issue as per the ones mentioned above. What is/are the cause(s) of the problem? What is/are the effect(s)?
• Provide at least three visual references for each of the above problems meeting the following criteria:
  • A photograph
  • A diagram that provides a visual explanation of the problem.
  • A chart of some kind related to the issue.
• Provide a possible solution.
• Citations for all information must be supplied on the page.
